What is personal data and what does it mean to process it?

Personal data is information that can identify a person. Examples of personal information are your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. But also information such as IP address or user behavior in combination with other information that can be used together to identify you is also personal information. Processing of personal data includes all handling of these, for example; collection, storage, analysis and registration.

Who is responsible for your personal information?

Brigo AB, organization number 556628-3544 on Kryptongatan 20 in Mölndal is responsible for the processing of your personal data and is responsible for the processing taking place in a correct and legal manner.

How does Brigo retrieve your information?

We receive personal information about you when you;

  • Send email to us
  • When you send cases to our customer service
  • When you visit our website
  • When you register on our customer or supplier portal
  • When you order goods from us
  • When you visit us

What are cookies?

We use so called cookies on our website. We use them to make the website work better and to recognize you when you use our website. What type of personal data do we process?

We process the information that you provide to us, such as name, e-mail address, telephone number, address, purchase history and other information that is necessary for us to be able to fulfill our obligation to you.

When you visit our website or use our customer and supplier portals on the Internet, we collect your IP address and time of visit. We also use Google Analytics to collect statistics, to be able to improve our services and portals. We have video surveillance and you might be recorded when you visit us or are in our proximity (loading dock, entrance, patio, etc).

Why do we process your data?

We process your information to;

  • To give you good service and well-functioning, efficient and simple services for our cooperation.

In what way does Brigo have the right to process your data?

Brigo has the right to process the personal data required to fulfill our obligation to you or based on a documented balance of interests. We may also need to process your personal data due to requirements from other laws or regulations, such as the Accounting Act.

In the event that we have no other legal basis for the processing of your personal data, we will ask for your consent. If it becomes relevant, you will receive clear information about what you agree to.

Who has access to your personal information?

Your personal data is used by authorized personnel at Brigo and in some cases by our personal data assistants. We do not disclose information if we do not have to due to requirements in other laws and regulations, government decisions or to protect our rights or the rights of third parties.

Where is my personal information stored?

We strive to only handle your personal data within the EU / EEA. In the event that we use services or products that mean that your information is taken outside the EU / EEA, this is done only to be able to fulfill our obligations to you. In cases where this becomes relevant, we ensure that the handling of your data is done with an adequate level of protection.

How long do we store your information?

We do not store your information longer than is necessary to be able to fulfill our commitment to you or to meet requirements in other laws and regulations, such as the Accounting Act.

We sort out information no later than after three years if it is not covered by the Accounting Act, which requires us to save information for seven years. Video surveillance material is stored for 72 hours.

How does Brigo protect your data?

We conduct continuous security work to protect our information systems. Therefore, we take all appropriate measures, both technical and organizational, that we find necessary to protect your personal data.

For example, we use SSL to encrypt the web traffic on our portals and your password that you entered on our portals is never saved in clear text and can not be read by us or anyone else.

You have the right to access your information

We are open and transparent about how we process your personal data. If you want to know what information we have, you can request an extract from the information. In order for us to know that it is the right person who requests the information, your request must be in writing, signed and contain your contact information.

You have the right to receive the correct information

If your information is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected, you can contact us at any time and request that we correct your information.

You have the right to have your data deleted

You have the right to request that we delete your personal data. In some cases, we cannot delete all information because we have to comply with other laws and requirements, such as the Accounting Act. In some cases, it can be technically difficult to delete information and then we can instead change it so that it becomes anonymous.

You have the right to limit your data

You have the right to request that our processing of your personal data be limited

You can at any time object to the processing of your personal data that is not based on a legitimate interest with Brigo AB.

You have the right to move information

You have the right to receive a copy of the personal information you have given us. This information must be provided in a format that is widely used as readable. You have the right to forward this information to another person responsible for personal data.
